My Blog

I have changed the look of my blog about 3 times now. I think its important that it looks good. First of all I was trying to portray myself through the look, so I was going for quite a funky & vibrant look but then I realised this made the blog hard to read, messy and confusing. I have now made it slightly unique but with a slightly more professional look.

If you happen to take a look, please let me know what you think.

  1. Hi Ebony,
I just had quick look at your blog and saw that you have had three attmepts of getting your blog looking good. I really love the idea of your blog being a stage with the lights on but I must admit that I still found it a little hard to read some words due to the brightness of the white light, especially on your 'about me' area. I hope this is of some help

  3. Hi Ebony,

    Welcome to the blogosphere!

I love the stage lights background, but (as the two ladies above me have already said) the strips of light and the white font mean I have to keep scrolling up and down to read your posts! It's a shame though because I really like the background!

    Here's something you could try:
When you're in the Design tab of your blog, go to Template Designer and click on Advanced. Click on Backgrounds. From here you should be able to change your Post Background from transparent so that the background image of the lights won't effect your posts.

    Hope that's some help!

  4. Hey Ebony

As the other guys have said-awesome, exciting feel with the lights but does distract from the content.
Liam's suggestion is a great one. You could also try changing the font to black or another colour that will most strongly contrast and therefore still be easily read despite the great background lights.

    Stay safe - Phil

  5. Hi Ebony!

Not to jump on the banwagon, but I was going to suggest the same as Phil! Although I think Liam;s idea of of keeping the back ground as it is and changing the posts from transparent will really help keep the feel of the blog!

    Nice to meet you, Michelle

  7. Hi Ebony,
    what a great blogg.
i actually had the same thoughts as you.
i wrote a blogg "image is everything", which was triggered by the look of my blogg. i explored how it portrade me and wether it was professional.
you seem to of had the same thoughts as me.
Is it because were in the "performing" world that were more in tuned with image?
    what do you think?
